Market Dynamics Research Group
As a Qualitative Research Assistant at MDRG in New Orleans. I supported the qualitative team with project and vendor management, recruitment and facility coordination, transcribing, and proposal and report writing. This position required me to work both on my own and with my team. I worked to ensure accuracy and timeliness throughout the entire project process, leaving no detail unnoticed or question left unanswered.
Spring Hill College Admissions
I worked as a tele-recruiter for the SHC admissions office. My role was to call high school students that had applied, visited, inquired, or a mixture of those options. My job was to answer any questions they might have about the school or application process. I was to remind them of the parts of the application the school was still waiting on, and I encouraged them to visit if they had not already. I continued volunteering for the Office of Admissions as an alumna, reaching out to students in the Greater New Orleans area that were interested or had applied to SHC.
The College Tourist
I worked as an intern travel blogger for The College Tourist. This internship afforded me the opportunity to write about my study abroad experience and travel within the United States. My writing for this website was shared through other organizations such as The Huffington Post. Skills needed for this internship included writing and social media knowledge. During my second term as an intern for The College Tourist I was given more responsibility, and became an editor for the Sunday Funday article each week. SpringHillian
At Spring Hill College, I am not only working my way towards a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Art with a focus in Public Relations and Advertising, but also a minor in writing. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and editing comes naturally to me. As a member of the SpringHillian staff, the newspaper, I acted as a journalist and advertising agent. For the weekly paper, I wrote stories, obtained pictures and sold ads to both on campus organizations and off campus businesses. To see some of my writing samples from my college years, use the drop down menu. Saltwater Grill
Being a family business, I worked in the restaurant as a hostess from a young age. Throughout the duration of the restaurant being open, I have worked at a number of festivals around the state of Louisiana. We have continued serving customers at festivals since the restaurant closed in 2012.For both positions, skills needed include verbal “people” skills, multi-tasking (handling money and serving food), helping other staff members, and keeping inventory. My dad always taught me to have a good work ethic and gave me a lot of responsibility when it came to the restaurant.
