I’m Hannah McIntyre and I am a proud New Orleanian. I grew up on southern cooking and live jazz. New Orleans, if you’ve never experienced it, is the kind of city that gets in your veins. It sucks you in to its hot, humid days and never lets go. Growing up with a mother who cooked in some of the best kitchens in the city, I ate it all; every last weird thing we eat down here.
At 16, I became a sister for the first time and about two years later I was given one more. Man, did that change things. They made going away for school that much harder. But, Mobile wasn’t too far from New Orleans. So, off I went. Spring Hill opened new doors for me. I could make it away from home – actually, I thrived.
The summer of 2014 showed me real life experience interning at a publishing company in New Orleans. As I already had a taste for bigger things, I traveled all the way to Bologna, Italy for the fall semester of my junior year, and fell in love with the world. While there, I traveled to 11 countries and 21+ cities. I wanted to see it all. Being abroad taught me so much about myself and prepared me for life in ways I didn't even know I needed. With travel on my mind, I became a travel blogger for The College Tourist the following summer and into my senior year.
My communications degree has provided me a path to multiple excellent opportunities already. I am self-motivated, detail oriented and exceptionally organized.
